Summer Camp Teacher

Summer Camp Teacher : Camp Cyan builds Critical, Creative and Comprehensive thinking for Youth and young children with Analytical approaches for real world Applications to build a Nurturing and supportive community.

We, at Camp Cyan, are looking for enthusiastic teachers for our fun and fast-paced summer camps. Camp themes you’ll be teaching or assisting teach are: Art, Fabric/ paper arts, Tinkering, Programming, STEM / STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math), Upcycling, Architecture.

Camp Cyan is a place where kids build their creative and critical thinking skills. The kids use analytical approaches to create meaningful and purposeful projects with real world applications. Adult guides help facilitate the camp and work collaboratively as a team with the children, rather than as teachers. You are a friend, a guide, a role model! Together we provide a nurturing and supportive community for the kids to shine in their own light.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching the summer camp enthusiastically
  • Facilitating camp activities and following lesson plans
  • Being engaged and having fun guiding the children
  • Being able to come up with options, answers impromptu
  • Being patient, prepared, positive and kind
  • Responsible for the safety of all children at camp
  • Working with a team
  • Professionally interacting with parents and children and staff
  • End of day cleanup

Experience:

  • Experience working with children ages 5-11 years old. (Required)
  • Experience with education/ teaching, daycare (Required)
  • CPR / First aid required

Job Types: Contract, Part-time, Temporary

Job times: 10am – 3pm

Education: A Bachelor’s or an Associate’s degree

Camp Counselor / Classroom Manager

Responsibilities

  • Have Fun with the children by facilitating team-building games when a teacher is on break
  • Support with transitions, snack, and outdoor play.
  • In-charge of discipline and making sure the kids are behaving and staying safe.
  • Watch the children during lunchtime, which may include eating lunch with them.
  • Work alongside the teacher make sure kids are listening and keeping them involved
  • An extra pair of hands to help students during class activities
  • Being engaged and having fun guiding the children
  • Being patient, prepared, positive and kind
  • Responsible for the safety of all children at camp
  • Working with a team
  • Professionally interacting with parents and children and staff
  • End of day cleanup

Experience:

  • Experience working with children ages 5-11 years old. (Required)
  • Experience with education/ teaching, art, daycare (Required)
  • Please do not apply if you don’t have experience working with kids in a classroom

Camp Counselor / Classroom Manager High School Internship Position

This is an unpaid internship position ideal for a high school student, who wants to add education experience to their resume.

We need a person who will be a friend to the kids, have fun with them, play games with them, sing songs and keep them happy. This person will also be in-charge of discipline and making sure the kids are behaving and are staying safe. This person will work along side a teacher and make sure the kids are listening to the teacher and keep them involved in the class.

Responsibilities

  • Have Fun with the children by facilitating games when a teacher is on break
  • Watch the children during lunchtime, and not mind eating lunch with the children.
  • Work alongside the teacher make sure kids are listening and keeping them involved
  • In-charge of discipline and making sure the kids are behaving and staying safe.

  • Responsible for the safety of all children at camp
